2015 Time To Upgrade Part 2

Private jetIn the business world, it’s the end of the first quarter. That includes the first three months of the year business and earnings. It’s like a report card for businesses.

It’s been three months since I declared that 2015 is the year of the upgrade. It’s time for a report card. It means to upgrade everything in your life, dreams, goals, fashion, etc. I know I’m on the right path because noted leaders and clergy across the globe have all given speeches and messages related to upgrading. Have you done your homework and started the process of upgrading your life? I’ve been at it all year and I quickly learned that upgrading is no easy task.

If you missed my previous blog, I challenged everyone to upgrade the way they live and the way they think. I even followed my own advice. I upgraded my apartment, made some bold career moves and upgraded my closet. Overall it’s been a great experience. Upgrading is fun and exciting, but it is not without challenges.

I moved to a great neighborhood and a nicer building but the apartment is much smaller than my previous space. It is challenging to decorate a small space. I’ve spent numerous hours shopping online and in stores to find items that will make the space more comfortable. I have a long way to go before decorating is complete.

That bold career move bought me extra income, but no satisfaction and a lot of pain and suffering. I learned that the best career satisfaction comes from being the boss and calling the shots.

What do you do when upgrading causes you problems? You re-evaluate what you are upgrading and how you’re upgrading? Did you go to fast? Too slow? Take time to think about it and make sure the things you’re going after are things you really want. All opportunity isn’t good opportunity and all money, isn’t good money. ¬†Everything comes at a price, but make sure its one you’re willing to pay.

My advice for the next three months, focus on what you really want and upgrade it. Set your standards high and watch your life soar to new heights.
